It could seem crazy to organize a documentary exhibition at a small village of 1700 inhabitants but we did. There were a lot of people who came over to know those distant and nearby experiences.

Therefore and encouraged by the success of our last and first exhibition, Mon-doc comes back with more documentals and more stories... In fact, this year we have decided to show more personal adventures. More stories that we will be able share with their main characters: Sonia Sampayo's experience "Queen of Africa" a Spanish woman in a polygamist marriage; Kasim Abid's family life afther the Sadam's fall and during the war of Irak; Andrés Rabadán's tragic story, also known as the killer of the crossbow presented as a fiction as well as a documentary by Ventura Durall.

Usually the documentary director identifies himself with his mission of showing the world in which we are leaving that he uncounsciously gets so involved in it that he even risks his life. This recently happened to Christian Poveda. He devoted himself so much to his last film that he couldn't come back. In this second edition we would like to pay homage to him and also to all the people working to the limit to show it to us.

We are also going to open a new space to the musical documentary with "Gimme Shelter" a mythical film about the Rolling Stones filmed in 1970, and a portrait of "our" Joaquín Sabina.

The Mostra will close with Philippe Petit's feat "Man on wire", the Oscar winning documentary this year.

On more year discovering dialogue spaces and openning windows over the world from a small town at the Vall d'Albaida.
